Dave East – Imagine

Dave East – Imagine
Dave East is one of the hardest working rappers out of New York City right now. While there’s plenty of artists claiming the title of “King Of New York,” East doesn’t seem concerned about that. Instead, he’s putting his focus towards dropping another dope body of work. Last week, the rapper announced his new mixtape Karma 2 with DJ Holiday. He initially said the project would drop this week but unfortunately, that isn’t the case. However, it’s confirmed that it will arrive next week and before we get our hands on it, he drops off a new single off the project titled, “Imagine.”

Harlem’s own comes through with his new single, “Imagine.” The rapper’s latest single follows a slew of new singles he’s released over the past month. “Imagine” is a track he’s previewed on Instagram before so it’s nice to finally have it in its entirety. On Dave East’s latest single, he reflects on what life would be if he wasn’t in the position he’s in now and counts his blessings for the opportunities he’s had. The rapper taps Street Symphone and Kangaroo for the song’s production.

Check out his new track and keep your eyes peeled for Dave East & DJ Holiday’s Karma 2 mixtape which is expected to drop on July 27th.

Quotable Lyrics

Shit ain’t been the same since I did that cover with Kodak
Did a verse for Esco, he couldn’t believe I wrote that
My uncle was a crackhead, and he don’t wanna believe he smoke that
Me and Pooch fought but I love him, I hope he know that
