Azealia Banks is here this Friday-eve to drop off her official video to her dance track, “Anna Wintour.” Banks doesn’t stop moving throughout the whole video, running a solo dance party in an emptied out loft just gettin’ her damn life. The song comes off Azealia’s upcoming album Fantasea II: The Second Wave that’s expected to drop in July. Spice Girls’ Mel B was originally supposed to feature on the track but due to personal issues, she had to bail out last minute.
Before the video was released, Azealia posted a teaser on Instagram that caused some drama. An Instagram user commented saying she was trying to mimic Teyana Taylor’s “Fade” video and Banks followed up saying Teyana stole the whole choreography for her famed Kanye West video. Before assumptions could escalate, Teyana clapped back quick, putting Banks and the Instagram user in place. “So I was too busy enjoying my Mother’s Day yesterday! But today is a new day! Junie is taking a nap so mama got ah lil bit of time TAHDAY!!!! 🙃 WASSUP!!!! @bornready_matt give ya friend some clarity with all her inaccurate information, so she can stop spewing out all of this false information,” Teyana said. Later, Teyana posted clips of her practicing the dance to prove the inaccurate information.
All drama aside, we think it’s fair to say Azealia’s video is nothing like Teyana’s appearance in “Fade.”
